Oil prices fell early on Thursday after Iran confirmed an agreement with Oman to finalise the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. Brent crude futures slipped 0.5 percent to $79.08 a barrel by 00:24 GMT, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) fell 0.7 percent to $74.69.
